The project "Bilateral cooperation for a long-term collaboration" carries out a series of essential activities to achieve its goals in the field of green transition, international collaboration and sustainable development. These activities are carried out in partnership by Østfold University College from Norway and "Vasile Alecsandri" University from Bacău, Romania, and are financed by Norwegian grants, within the "Bilateral Cooperation in the Green Transition" Call.
A1. Activities to strengthen bilateral relations
The activities in this category are intended to strengthen the connection between the two partner universities, promoting academic collaboration and the exchange of best practices between teaching staff and researchers. Study visits by academic staff from Romania to Østfold University allow access to modern laboratories, learning experiences and direct practice in circular economy and green transition principles. These activities lay the foundations for long-term collaboration and facilitate the development of future academic and research partnerships.
A2. Workshops and seminars
The organization of workshops and seminars facilitates an intense exchange of knowledge and ideas between teachers, researchers and specialists in the field of circular economy. Within them, successful examples of the implementation of the circular economy in Norway are analyzed and the possibilities of applying these concepts in Romania are explored. The workshops are intended for both teaching staff and economic operators in the Moldova area, offering an open framework for discussions about sustainable solutions and green transition initiatives.
A3. Training sessions on green energy transition and circular economy
These training sessions provide an overview of the European Union policies and directives towards 2030 and 2050 regarding the transition to green energy and the adoption of the circular economy. Intended for academic staff and students, the sessions are delivered by experts from both universities and focus on deepening key themes such as reducing the carbon footprint, sustainable resource management and implementing circular economy concepts. These sessions contribute to the development of a body of knowledge essential for the transition to a sustainable economy.
A4. Winter School on Dynamic Modeling and Simulation of Renewable Energy, Energy Storage and Circular Economy
The winter school represents a unique educational opportunity, addressed to students from several universities in Romania and organized at the "Vasile Alecsandri" University in Bacău. Within it, students acquire applied knowledge in dynamic modeling and simulation of renewable energy, but also in energy storage techniques and circular economy principles. The workshops of the winter school are supported by teaching staff from Norway and Romania and address current topics in the field of energy transition, preparing students for future ecological challenges.
A6. Dissemination, communication, networking and knowledge sharing
Dissemination and communication activity is essential to ensure the visibility of the project and to facilitate the exchange of acquired knowledge. Through various communication channels – conferences, article publications and networking sessions – the project aims to share the results and good practices obtained with a wide audience, including both academia and the local community and economic sector. This activity also supports the creation of a collaboration network between institutions and specialists from Romania and Norway, in order to develop joint initiatives for a greener and more sustainable future.
These activities contribute to the project's ambitious goals, supporting international collaboration and facilitating the transition to a green economy through education, research and the practical application of acquired knowledge.
